May 23-24, 2014
HIBBING, Minn. ─ Bob Dylan's northeastern Minnesota hometown celebrates his 73rd birthday and continued artistic accomplishment with an exciting lineup of Dylan Days arts and entertainment activities from May 23-24, 2014.
This year brings one of the most significant Dylan attractions ever to the city where the folk and rock icon grew up. The GRAMMY Museum's traveling exhibit "Daniel Kramer: Photographs of Bob Dylan" will make its American debut after stops in London and Paris. The exhibit will be free and open to the public starting during Dylan Days and running all summer long in Hibbing.
This year is also significant to the organizers of Dylan Days after the closure of Zimmy's Bar and Restaurant, traditional hub of so many of our annual events. Though we are reducing the number of days we schedule events, we are carrying on our most cherished celebrations at new venues quite nearby, and we hope you'll join us to see what's in store. While we are all devastated over the loss of Zimmy's, we continue to be amazed at the way Dylan's music unites people from all over the world, and the capacity for northern Minnesota to generate stories and art.
All events are within walking distance in downtown Hibbing. Most events are free with purchase of a souvenir Dylan Days button, available for $5.

From its humble origins as a spontaneous jam session, to its growth as part of the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce, to its current status as a fast growing, independent community arts organization, Dylan Days seeks to enhance the arts community in Northern Minnesota in addition to conducting these annual events. Dylan Days works with many community partners, including schools, the city, the chamber of commerce and other artistic groups. We operate off the advertising revenue for our annual publication, "Talkin' Blues," the program and literary journal of Dylan Days.
